Transitional Kindergarten

I was born in Quincy, Illinois and attended St. John's Grade School and Notre Dame High School. I attended Patricia Stevens Career College in St. Louis, Missouri, for Fashion Merchandising/Modeling. I managed a chain of Foxmoor Clothing Stores in the Missouri and Illinois regions. I moved to Chicago to continue my career and also spend time with my high school sweetheart, who I married in 1974. Hal and I have been blessed with 4 young successful adults and adorable, wonderful  grandchildren. When we moved to California in 1979, (Hal's job offer), I was a stay-at-home mom for a few years, as we had 4 children in less than 4 years! This was one of the best times of my life and I decided to take Child Development Courses at Long Beach City College to be a teacher. I also enjoyed volunteering at the nursery and pre-school at St. Cyprian. (This was the Parish we chose after visiting many parishes.) Since we were/are very involved in the Parish, I was asked to assist/teach in the opening of our Extended Day Care (EDC) in 1988. I was already teaching pre-school age children in a home day care setting in the A.M., so I would switch  to St. Cyprian to work in the Extended Daycare after school. I was asked so often to Substitute Teach or Aide in the classrooms, that I decide to take the Full-Time offer to teach at St. Cyprians. (Substitute Teach, Classroom Aide/Teacher's Assistant,, teaching small groups of students, and the present being the Transitional Kindergarten Teacher) The year 2017,  marks my  30th. year teaching at St. Cyprian Parish School. THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL FIND MY HEART AND MY SOUL! My very precious moments are spent with family, friends and our 2 dogs, just enjoying each others Faith, love and companionship. I also enjoy reading, gardening, baking and aerobics.
